Telugu film industry stalwart Chandra Mohan passed away on November 11 due to a cardiac arrest at Hyderabad’s Apollo Hospital. The 82-year-old actor had been undergoing treatment for heart-related issues. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. The final rites are scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on November 13.
Chandra Mohan, renowned for his versatile performances in films like ‘Sirisirimuvva,’ ‘Sankarabharanam,’ ‘Radhakalyanam,’ and ‘Nakoo Pellam Khali,’ received tributes from the industry. Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed his sorrow, remembering Chandra Mohan’s exceptional role in his debut film ‘Pranam Kharidu.’ He offered condolences to the late actor’s family and fans.

Chandra Mohan, born on May 23, 1943, in Pamidimukkala village, Andhra Pradesh, commenced his Telugu cinema journey with ‘Rangula Ratnam’ in 1966. Over his illustrious career, he featured in 932 films, with 150 of them showcasing him as the lead. Chandra Mohan received 2 Nandi Awards and one Filmfare Award South for his significant contributions. Notable films in his repertoire include ‘Shankarabharanam,’ ‘Seethaamalakshmi,’ ‘Padaharella Vayasu,’ ‘Siri Siri Muvva,’ and ‘Chandamama Raave.’
