The deadliest attacks in India’s history were the 26/11 attacks, which were masterminded by ten terrorists from the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba. The terrorists crossed the Arabian Sea to reach Mumbai,
where they launched well-planned attacks at several strategic the capital in money. Among the locations targeted were the Oberoi Trident, Leopold Cafe, Nariman House, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and the Taj Hotel.
Human Toll: A total of 166 people, including citizens of other countries and law enforcement officers, lost their lives in this horrific incident. The attacks left over 300 people injured, leaving wounds that are still visible today. Notably, in 2012, one of the terrorists, Ajmal Amir Qasab, was apprehended alive and put to death in Pune’s Yerwada Jail.

President Droupadi Murmu expressed the suffering of the country, expressing support for the families of the victims and remembering the courageous security guards who gave their lives to protect others. Rajnath Singh, the Minister of Defence, and ExternalSocial media posts from S Jaishankar, the Minister of Affairs, also showed their respect. Sustained Pursuit of Justice: Minister Jaishankar underscored the continuous pursuit of justice by saying, “Today marks the 15th anniversary of the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. We’re still working to hold those accountable for organizing and carrying out these heinous crimes accountable.” A Coordinated Front Against Terrorism: A number of political personalities, such as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s official account, emphasized the necessity of a coordinated response to acts of violence. Prahlad Joshi called the attacks a “Black Day” in the history of India and thanked the security services, the police, and everyone else who bravely confronted the terrorists on those gloomy days.
